Valentine

Valentine’s Day is rapidly gaining in popularity in the Netherlands. The Day of Love originates with the priest Valentinus, who lived in Rome in the third century AD. He passed away on 14 February. When the Roman Catholic Church declared him a saint later on, the 14th of February became a festive day that was especially popular in Victorian England. English migrants brought the tradition to the United States, where it quickly grew into an immensely popular feast. Which is only natural, of course. Like love, good food has to do with the senses and only the senses. So please do not hesitate to surprise your Valentine with the delectably sweet tokens of love created by Huize van Wely. Anonymously, if you wish.
